“The truth is, you cannot love yourself unless you have been loved and are loved. The capacity to love cannot be built in isolation.”

The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics

I am certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). The NMT was developed by Dr. Bruce Perry, M.D., Ph.D. The NMT  is a developmentally-informed, biologically respectful approach to working with children and youth who have experienced developmental trauma. The NMT is rooted in a framework informed by neurodevelopment and trauma theory.  It does not involve a specific treatment or therapeutic intervention but rather, with the aid of a developmentally sensitive structured assessment, helps guide and inform my work with children and families.  For further information on the NMT, please visit  https://childtrauma.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/NMT_Description_Overview_6_22_12x.pdf
